Some of the escape party's guides under the command of Liang-Yung-Yuan; They knew their back yard very well and although we passed very close to Jap troops they never saw us.

Geurrilla leader Liang Yuing Yuan with Buddy Hide during the escape. He was awarded the M.B.E. for guiding the escape party through Japanese lines into Free China. He was also re-instated into the Chinese Military by Admiral Chan Chak.
