Escape Route

The five MTB's made a one hundred mile dash from Hong Kong to the North East coast of of the mainland in Mirs Bay . After rendezvousing at the crescent shaped Island of [Tung]Ping Chau with others they made for a landing point and scuttled the boats

From here it was overland by foot to the first stop at Waichow which was about eighty miles through bandit ridden rough terrain.
